Craplications (Crappy Applications) on New Computers.

Craplication Removal Tool.  Speed up your new PC.

Often we get new computers and quickly realize that most of the software is nothing but advertising for unwanted applications (craplications).  In reality it’s taking up about 10% of your harddrive space and most anyone would be happier with 10% more speed.  So get rid of the “crap” you don’t want by going (for free) to www.pcdecrapifier.com.

This will run a program to remove the junk and will also provide another list of all other software you have installed.  After the crap is removed you’ll see a window with other installed software/programs.  If at this point you’re unsure then use caution or don’t remove anything else until you consult with someone who knows what’s necessary or not.

To see a list of craplications that are probably not needed go to http://www.pcdecrapifier.com/crapplications.

Fast Shutdown

The fastest way to shut down a Windows computer:

If you work on Windows, you know that shutting it down can really be a hassle and time consuming, especially when a lot of programs are running. Most of us tend to avoid shut down because of this, but we know that shut down is always safer and also considered good for the PC.

There are a lot of shut down tricks and tools available, which can help you to achieve a smooth and fast shut down of Windows without negatively affecting your PC. However, this trick, which was suggested to me by a friend, is probably the simplest one and also the fastest way to shut down your PC.

Here are the steps :-

1: Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to go to the Task Manager .

2: Click on Shut Down on the Top .

3: Highlight ‘Turn Off ‘ and while holding down the Ctrl key , click on it .

And thats it ! Just count 1 , 2 , 3…5 and there you go…your PC is off !

E-mail

E-mail is an incredibly useful tool that allows me to do my job more efficiently, and is also a major distraction and headache. I can drop my a quick note in between phone calls, which is an inexpensive alternative to long distance charges, but I also can waste 20 minutes weeding through spam and advertising.

My assumption is that most people who interact with e-mail have a similar love-hate opinion of it.

Hand’s down, the best e-mail client on the market is Gmail by Google. Google is constantly working to keep spam out of your inbox, and offer a number of useful features — the best of these are tagging and searching. If you don’t have a Gmail account and want one, go here.
